On March 10, Raz Mason spoke to the Hood River Dems on Zoom about the campaign. Audience members asked about legislative priorities on which she might introduce legislation (climate change and public safety) and how to improve gun safety (using a multifaceted public health approach to address high usage of guns in suicide, universal background checks, and exploring liability insurance and enhanced training requirements for gun ownership – while also recognizing how much guns are a part of rural culture).
The Hood River Democrats have endorsed Raz Mason for SD 26 – the only Democratic county committee of four to offer primary endorsements in the area covered by Senate District 26. (The other counties are Clackamas, Multnohmah, and Wasco.)
The Hood River Democrats meet on the second Thursday of each month. You can learn more on their website.
