Oregon Senate District 26 now includes The Dalles, and runs west to include all of Hood River county and smaller towns in Clackamas county, plus Orient (east Gresham). Hard for a Democrat to win? Not so! Democrats and Republicans are essentially even in SD 26.
The key to Raz Mason winning this district will be:
- Turning out Democratic voters
- Introducing non-affiliated voters and Republicans to Raz Mason and how she will thoughtfully represent their (your) interests in Salem.
The race for SD 26 is of statewide importance. It is one of only three senate districts currently held by a Republican that could be flipped to a Democrat. A Democratic win in SD 26 will move the state closer to a quorum where Republicans cannot shut down the legislature through damaging walkouts.
