Raz Mason has been endorsed by WINPAC, the Women’s Investment Network Political Action Committee
Raz Mason values the importance of personal choice and allowing all women the opportunity to live up to their fullest potential. She cares deeply about children and youth, and understands that children thrive best when born into families where they are welcomed and well-cared for.
While supporting pro-choice legislation, Raz Mason also recognizes the often difficult emotional and moral questions each woman weighs when making choices around abortion. The documented harm to women that arises when abortion is unsafe and illegal makes this a vital part of women’s safety. However, we can limit the number of abortions by funding comprehensive sex education and universal access to birth control, which have been proven to lower rates of unwanted pregnancies.
Raz Mason’s extensive work in the domestic violence field grew her understanding of ways women and teen girls are often denied reproductive options – and of the harm this causes – because of lack of reproductive information and birth control, partner abuse, family pressures, sexual violence, and lack of economic resources.
