I met Raz when she was leading a climate change-based nonprofit, the CO2 Foundation, in 2019. I came on board to assist the organization with social media and youth outreach, and worked very closely with Raz. She was, and is, an extremely supportive mentor for youth, and helped me get where I am today in my own level of scientific engagement. As a young person involved in various scientific/activism fields, I can say with confidence that Raz is one of the most supportive adults I have worked with; she continuously uplifted me during our time together, and she cares very deeply about the concerning issues with climate change that my generation faces. District 26 would be incredibly lucky to have her as its senator.
