Raz listens, learns, and then acts – crucial steps in success. As a board member of the climate change education foundation that Raz co-founded, I saw firsthand her ability to build coalitions, weave together complicated ideas into attainable action steps, and work respectfully with challenging personalities. As a state senator, she can utilize her national-level work in climate change education alongside her unusually high level of understanding of climate science, extreme weather, and community resilience.
Because of my seat on Kent’s Land Use and Planning Board, she and I have discussed options for affordable housing in a landscape of urban, suburban and rural areas. Raz’s security training and preparedness expertise gives her a comprehensive background to meet future challenges.
