Cano Online Engagement Gala

Confirmed Guest Speakers:

• Andrea Cano, community leader & advocate for collaborative governance
• Raz Mason – Democratic candidate for Senate District 26
• [Unable to attend] Carina Miller – community organizer, Columbia River Gorge Commissioner, former Warm Springs Council Member
• Paul Blackburn – prior 3-term Hood River mayor, running unopposed in November
• Sen. Jeff Golden – Ashland-area senator (SD 3) and climate champion
• Eileen Kiely – Secretary of the Democratic Party of Oregon
• The event featured short introductions/reflections, allowing attendees to make/renew interesting connections
• Three lucky winners received a copy of Tightrope, autographed by Nick Kristof.

Senate District 26 (“the Mt. Hood District”) covers The Dalles, all of Hood River County, east Multnomah County, and much of rural Clackamas County. It is one of two toss-up races for the Oregon Senate.

Raz and Team 26 have a clear path to a win. This online gala will fund continued voter engagement through info cards for in-person canvassing (especially our collaboration with Jamie McLeod-Skinner for CD-5), handwritten postcard campaign (12,200 postcards and counting!), lawn signs and banners, and targeted digital marketing.

This is both a fundraising event and statewide (and beyond) community engagement event. Please watch even if you are unable to donate. If you are able to give, please give generously – yet sustainably for you.
