While Raz Mason is committed to reaching out to people of all political parties and persuasions, as the campaign begins she is helping Democratic groups in the district know her/know her better. She spoke briefly on Tuesday night, Feb. 22nd, at the Oregon Trail Democrats’ monthly meeting, introducing herself and describing campaign priorities rooted in the district and state. The meeting was attended by a variety of county Democratic leaders – especially from Clackamas and Multnomah counties.
As described on their website:
The Oregon Trail Democrats live in the Sandy/ Hoodland/ Estacada/ Boring region of House District 52- and are determined to make a difference in state, local and national politics. We began as a small group of PCP’s (Democratic Precinct Committee Persons) gathered together in 2004 by Pat Ryan and Walt Trandum. Our purpose is to work to organize and elect Democratic candidates.
Together, we are teaching ourselves how to be more effective in both influencing the voters AND influencing our elected officials about issues that are important to us. We welcome your presence, your ideas, your experience- together we can move mountains!
